What does “verified” mean for a user?

A verified user has confirmed their email address through Clerk authentication. The app also stores user_profiles.is_verified based on Clerk’s email verification status.

What does “verified” mean for an organization?

A verified organization has been reviewed and approved by platform administrators. This provides:
  • A verification badge on the organization profile
  • Increased trust with buyers
  • Priority in search results (future feature)

How do I get my organization verified?

If your organization is a Nonprofit (shelter), you can upload documentation (PDF) in the app:
  1. Create the organization as a nonprofit, then upload during the prompt (or upload later from Profile)
  2. The upload creates a row in verification_requests with status pending
  3. Platform admins can approve/reject and update the status

What documents can I upload for nonprofit verification?

  • PDF only
  • Max size: 10MB
