Do buyers see my exact meeting location?

No. Your exact pickup/meeting location (full address and exact coordinates) is private. What buyers see:
  • When browsing: Your city and state (e.g., “Austin, TX”) and an approximate map pin
  • Exact meetup details: You coordinate the exact meetup location directly with the seller
This protects seller privacy while still allowing buyers to see the general area.

How do I set my pickup location?

  1. Open Profile.
  2. Open the Selling tab.
  3. Open Pickup Location.
  4. Search for an address or place.
  5. Confirm the location on the map and save.
Pickup location appears when you are an individual seller or belong to an organization. Your exact coordinates and address are stored securely and are not shown publicly. For how Browse organizes results by marketplace lane, see Browse marketplace lanes.

What does “Anywhere” mean on the Browse page?

On Browse, the location pill can show “Anywhere” when the app does not have a usable location to base browsing on. When “Anywhere” is shown:
  • Browse will still work, but results are not sorted by distance (and the map can’t automatically center “near you”).
  • It usually means either:
    • You denied location permission, or
    • You tapped Clear Location, or
    • On web, the browser couldn’t provide location (permission blocked, or the site isn’t allowed to access location).

How to fix it

  • Use My Location: On Browse, tap the location pill and choose Use My Location.
  • Search a place instead: Tap the location pill and search for a city/area (e.g., “Austin, TX”). This works even if you don’t want to share device location.
If you want to use device location but it keeps returning “Anywhere”:
  • iOS: Settings → Privacy & Security → Location Services → The Animal Traders → allow While Using the App (and ensure Location Services is ON).
  • Android: Settings → Location → App permissions → The Animal Traders → allow location (and ensure Location is ON).
  • Web: In your browser’s site settings for the app, set Location = Allow, then reload. (Location generally requires https://.)

Can I have multiple pickup locations?

Currently, each seller or organization has one pickup location. Multiple locations may be supported in a future update. For more about how listing location and other account data are handled, see Privacy Policy.
