Listing Documents
What types of documents can I upload to a listing?
Sellers can attach documents to their listings to provide additional information to buyers:
- Registration papers — AKC, breed registries, etc.
- Vaccination records — Proof of vaccinations
- Health certificates — Vet health checks
- Other documents — Other relevant PDF paperwork
Supported format: PDF only (max 10MB per file).
For seller photos and videos in Step 3, see Listing photos and videos.
For paid visibility options in Step 5, see Social Promotion & Featured Spotlight.
Who can see my listing documents?
Documents have three visibility levels that you control:
| Visibility | Who Can See | Use Case |
|---|
| Seller Only | Only you (and org members) | Private records, internal notes |
| Public (Pre-Sale) | Any authenticated buyer | Health certs, vaccination proof to attract buyers |
| Post-Sale Only | Buyers after purchase | Registration papers, detailed records |
How do I change document visibility?
When uploading a document, you choose the visibility level. You can change it later from the listing’s document management section.
Can buyers download my documents?
- Seller Only documents: No, buyers cannot see or download
- Public (Pre-Sale) documents: Buyers can view/download if the listing is active
- Post-Sale Only documents: Buyers can only access after completing a purchase
Is my document storage path hidden from buyers?
Yes. Buyers only see document metadata (name, type) in the public projection. The actual storage path is never exposed. Downloads are served via time-limited signed URLs.Last modified on March 20, 2026
