Browse marketplace lanes

Browse organizes the marketplace into lanes — top-level modes that shape which listings and carousels you see.

The lane pills

At the top of the Browse page you will see:
LaneWhat it focuses on
AllMixed marketplace view across categories
LivestockLivestock, poultry, equine, and related farm animals
PetsCompanion animals such as dogs, cats, birds, reptiles, and small mammals
AdoptionShelter and rescue-oriented listings
FeedFeed and related supply listings
Tap or click a lane to switch. Category chips and carousels under the header update for that lane.

Pets vs Adoption

  • Pets highlights companion-animal listings from breeders and individual sellers.
  • Adoption focuses on shelter and rescue-oriented listings (including shelter org types and adoption-related wording).
The same species (for example dogs) can appear in either lane depending on the seller and listing context. Use Adoption when you are looking for rescue or rehoming options.

How lanes work with other filters

Lanes work together with:
  • the location pill
  • seller search
  • category chips
  • Filters (species, breed, price, and more)
Changing lanes does not clear your location or seller filter. Category chips may change because each lane has its own category set. On web, Browse can include a lane query parameter (for example ?lane=pets). Older links that used ?lane=breeders still work — they open the Pets lane.

Tips

  • Start in All if you are exploring, then switch to a lane when you know the kind of listing you want.
  • Use Search sellers when you care who you are buying from more than which lane you are in. See Search sellers & organizations.
  • If results look empty, clear Filters or switch back to All, then narrow again.
