Opening app links

Some links from The Animal Traders can open directly in the app when you have the iPhone or Android app installed. App links may take you to:
  • a listing
  • a seller or member profile
  • a message thread
  • your messages
  • the review flow
  • the notification center
  • the Sell dashboard

If you are signed out

If you open an app link while signed out, sign in with the account that should have access to that screen. After sign-in, the app tries to return you to the link you originally opened. For example, a review reminder should bring you back to the review flow after you sign in. Try these steps:
  1. Confirm the app is installed on the device.
  2. Update to the latest available app build.
  3. Sign in to the app, then open the link again.
  4. Copy the link from your email or browser and open it from the same device.
On iPhone and Android, your device decides whether a supported link opens in the app or in the browser. If the app is not installed, the link opens on the web. The link may point to content that is no longer available, or you may be signed in with an account that cannot access it. Try:
  • confirming you are signed in with the correct account
  • opening the related listing, profile, message, or notification directly
  • refreshing the app
  • asking the sender to share the link again
Notification emails can link to screens such as messages, reviews, feedback reminders, proposals, or notification preferences. For more about notification settings, see Notifications.
