# Search sellers & organizations

> Find a seller or org by name and filter Browse results to their listings

# Search sellers & organizations

Seller search lets you quickly filter the Browse page to listings from a **specific seller** (individual) or **organization** (farm, breeder, shelter).

Seller search works with marketplace **lanes** (All, Livestock, Pets, Adoption, Feed). Choosing a seller keeps your lane and other filters; clearing Filters or Reset clears the seller too. See [Browse marketplace lanes](/help/browse-lanes).

## Why you might use this

* **Find a known seller fast**: If you already know the name (e.g., “Little Rock Livestock”), you can jump straight to their listings.
* **Disambiguate similar names**: Searching “livestock” shows multiple matches so you can pick the correct org.
* **Shop by source, not category**: Sometimes you care more about *who* you’re buying from than the specific listing type.
* **Reduce noise**: Filter out everything else while keeping your other filters (category, species, breed, price, location) intact.

## Where to find seller search

On the **Browse** page, seller search appears **between the Location pill and the Filters pill**.

* **Web (desktop)**: a “Search sellers…” input in the header.
* **Mobile / Native / Web mobile**: a **magnifying glass button** in the header row (between Location and Filters).

## How to search (Web desktop)

1. On Browse, click **Search sellers…**
2. Type at least **2 characters** (examples: `Little Rock`, `livestock`)
3. Select a seller/org from the dropdown
4. Browse now shows **only listings** from the selected seller/org

### Clear the seller filter (Web desktop)

* Click the **X** on the selected seller pill, or
* Use **Filters → Reset** (clears all filters, including seller)

## How to search (Mobile / Native / Web mobile)

1. On Browse, tap the **magnifying glass** icon
2. Type at least **2 characters**
3. Tap a result to select it
4. Browse now shows **only listings** from that seller/org

### Clear the seller filter (Mobile / Native / Web mobile)

* Tap the **X** next to the selected seller in the header, or
* Use **Filters → Reset All**, or
* Tap **Clear Filters** when the browse list is empty

<Tip>
  ## Tips for better results

  * **Try partial keywords**: searching `live` or `livestock` can surface more matches.
  * **Try alternate spellings**: some orgs use abbreviations or punctuation.
  * **No results?**
    * Make sure you’ve typed **2+ characters**
    * The seller/org may not be publicly visible, or may not have public listings yet
